BETC recognized for its Social Justice initiative

Beth E Temple Center's Open Hearts, Open Doors: Refugee Response Effort has been honored with an Irving J. Fain Social Justice Award by the Commission on Social Action of Reform Judaism. These awards recognize congregations and groups "for their engaging, innovative, and impactful social action work."

The Award will be presented at the URJ Biennial in December in Boston. Information about the 17 congregational programs being honored this year can be found on the Religious Action Network website, http://rac.org/2017-fain-award-winners.  In addition to Beth El Temple Center, seven other congregations in the US and Canada are being recognized for their refugee crisis response programs.
