Beth El Temple Center featured on WERS radio

On November 26, 2017, Beth El Temple Center was featured on Chagigah, the Jewish culture and music program on Emerson College's award-winning radio station, WERS-FM. Chagigah host Hal Slifer interviewed Rabbi Jonathan Kraus, Cantor Louise Treitman, and President Randy Gollub about their involvement with Beth El and asked each for a musical recommendation.  Continue Reading to listen to excerpts from the program.

  • Rabbi Kraus reflects on his rabbinical vocation, as well as his musical and other avocations. He selected the song "Traveler's Prayer" from Jacob Spike Kraus's "Cornerstones" album.

  • Cantor Treitman spoke about the importance of music during services at Beth El.  Her selection for Chagigah is the Zamir Chorale's rendition of Salamone Rossi's "Hallelujah Halleli Nafshi."

  • Randy Gollub recalled her daughter's Bat Mitzvah, and chose Debby Friedman's "Mi Sheberach" as a particularly meaningful and beautiful song.
